John Salmons looks to be as good as gone...for two expiring contracts. This would let the Bulls offer a maximum contract in the offseason. Hearing/reading rumors that Thomas might be gone as well for Al Harrington.

Does anyone know Harrington's contract status? Is he in the last year of his contract?

Let's hope so. They're trying to move Deng now, too. That would free up space for two of the three of Wade, Bosh and James.

I'd be completely fine with Wade and Bosh. cool.gif

They'd better get somebody. It would suck to unload all these players and get nobody in return.

I can already hear it....well, we didn't get the players we wanted but, hey, we're 40 million dollars under the salary cap. laugh.gif

I don't know about any of these players but I hope whoever they get is good. I don't follow basketball that closely.

Bosh and Wade or Lebron would make the Bulls a force overnight

Wow, they've been hosed twice now. In 2004 (I think) by Kobe and now six years later by Wade, Bosh and LeBron. On the bright side Boozer is a better prize than Ron Mercer, but they had twice the cap space this time around.

Seriously though, I can see the Bulls winning more games next year than the Heat. The Heat have, what, 8-10 million dollars to lock up seven more players? I just don't see them hitting on enough players to compliment the big three.

I think as long as there's a salary cap in place the big three will put up big numbers but will fail to win a ring together.

They traded Michael Beasley but are signing Mike Miller to a five year, 30 million dollar deal so I'm not sure how that will fix any of their money woes.

Sure, they'll have a great starting five....and what else?

True enough. I didn't know they traded Beasley( the guy everyone wanted over D Rose). Without some depth, the big 3 will get too many minutes, and by playoff time they may be doggin a little. They are all young, but for a full season it will take a toll on all.

Not bad. At least they are moving forward. Maybe not getting L J won't be a bad thing.
